Hi Everyone! This program is called Playing with STEM. It is a STEM program for 2-5 year olds. It is primarily play, because at that age, I just want to make science, technology, engineering and math fun!
In this program we celebrated some of our favorite stations from the year, and added a few new ones. There were stations all around the room that the kids visit with their parents. Each station had a sign to give some instructions and a fun fact. Here are the building stations:
Snow Sensory Bin
The children played in the snow (from Steve Spangler) with cups and spoons.

Bird Feeder
The children made a bird feeder with a pipe cleaner and oat cereal. The crafts were placed in individual bags to keep the cereal clean in case of snacking.

Puddle Jumping
The children could jump from puddle to puddle and pretend to splash in the rain.

Flower Math
The children matched the number of petals on the flower to the numbered flower pot.

Rainbows
The children could peek through diffraction grating lenses to see rainbows in the lights. Find them on Amazon here. https://a.co/d/6bcX7iG

Touch Tidepool
The children could touch shells, plastic starfish and sea cucumbers in a pool with a little water.

Flextangle Fireworks
For July, they could color the flextangles to look like fireworks. Flextangles are shapes that can be rotated through different shape like a fidget toy. I premade the flextangles because their construction is complicated.
The template can be found at Artsy Fartsy Mama.

Keyboard Notes
The children could test out the notes on this floor keyboard and try to play Jingle Bells.

Leaf Symmetry
The children learned about symmetry with leaf puzzles.

Pumpkin Plants
The children could trace the growth of pumpkins using this activity.

Snow Play
The kids had some active play throwing cotton balls and tissue paper snowflakes like they were in a blizzard!

The kids had a lot of fun with all the different stations!
