Hi Everyone! This program is called Playing with STEM. It is a STEM program for 2-5 year olds. It is primarily play, because at that age, I just want to make science, technology, engineering and math fun!
In this program we talked about robots and coding, all while playing and having fun! There were stations all around the room with instructions that children and caregivers could play together. This months stations were:
Robots Report
For math, the children worked on following patterns. We printed colored robots on the 3D printer from this file on Thingiverse. The children used the robots to follow the pattern then pick what color would be next.

Sticker Robot
The children made their own sticker robot using different heads, torsos, arms and legs/wheel. The stickers were printed and cut using the Silhouette. The robot clipart can be found here.

Robot Weights
The children used this monster/robot balance to find equivalent weights which is good for math practice. The balance can be found here.

Sensory Bin
Our sensory bins this month were filled with colored rice, robots, measuring cups, groan tubes and springs made of chenille stems. The robots can be found here.

Ozobot Storytelling
We designed a path for the Ozobot to follow to tell the story of the hungry caterpillar. Along the path were some coding to make the Ozobot spin, speed up and slow down.

Coding a Mouse
The children used Code & Go Robot Mouse to make the mouse follow the path to the cheese.

Coding a Human
The children pretended to be robots and their caregivers told them how to move and turn on our path.

LEGO Robot
The Children made robot shapes using DUPLO LEGOs.

indi Robot
The children programed the indi robot by using the colored tiles. The indi robot can be purchased here.

Robot Hand
The children pretended to be the Curiosity Rover to collect samples using a robot claw. They can be purchased here.

Gobs of Gears
The children practiced interlocking gears using several different gear toys.

Gobs of Gears
The children practiced interlocking gears using several different gear toys.

Drill Design
The children used this screwdriver game to practice their building skills.

Cubetto Robot
The kids programmed the Cubetto robot to follow a path on the space mat.

The kids had a lot of fun with all the different stations!
