It was my birthday month so I decided to celebrate everyone’s birthday in storytime. We mixed it up a bit by playing party games instead of a craft.

Fall Storytime
It’s fall again so we had to celebrate it in storytime. Some themes that come around every year get a little old, but this one has so much to learn about trees and animals, I always find it lots of fun!
Circus Storytime
Time to go to the circus! I had done this theme for the K-2 group under our Summer Reading theme of “Showtime at the Library”, so it was pretty easy to adapt it to storytime. There aren’t an abundance of appropriate books, but we only needed three!
Bears Storytime
Bears are a great theme for the winter!
Beach Storytime!
I don’t think I have ever done a summer session of storytime without doing the beach. There are a lot of fun books, and I couldn’t resist adding in Baby Shark. I know some people are getting tired of it, but the kids love it!
Insects Storytime
Summer means lots of insects. Kids may notice them outside when they are playing or inside their house. I always try to use the correct term “insects” since all bugs are insects but not all insects are bugs.
Zoo Storytime
Kids love a trip to the zoo. This storytime incorporates puppets to make it more like a real trip to the zoo!
Ice Cream Storytime
I think everyone loves ice cream, especially in July. I think the toddlers enjoyed this fun and active storytime!
Magic Storytime
I was looking for some new storytime themes this summer, and decided on magic. It is a fun mix of magic, animals, imagination and even a magic trick!
